Letter from the Editor – September 2012

To Whom It May Concern:
First, let me apologize for not getting a post up yesterday. Second, let me say I always want to be honest and transparent about Urb’l Remedy regarding how I’m feeling about certain things, if things come up, and things along those lines. Third, I was planning to post the first edition of Soap Box and I have a topic in mind, but I was still letting my thoughts marinate and I was still thinking about the points I’d like to make. The topic may incite discussion, so I want to be clear and collected in how I write it. So, instead of rushing to it, I’ve decided to postpone it to next month. I’d rather present it in a way that speaks to my opinions correctly than just post it to meet a deadline.
In the place of the first edition of Soap Box, I’m doing another Letter from the Editor that you are currently in the process of reading. Keeping things short and sweet this time, what’s coming up next week is the October 2012 Cool Cause via a New England-area pop/R&B girl group and a feature interview with a California-based all-male indie pop band. (They’re not quite a “boy band.”) Also: In two weeks, I’m back for our Not So Random Videos feature highlighting one of my favorite music genres of all-time. That’s all I’m teasing.
